I love pretty gifts. Not the gift itself- but how it is presented. Eventhough it’s just a piece of gift voucher (the best wedding present for any bride&groom besides doa don’t ya think? me think so ;)) i’ll try my best to wrap a gift with my definition of ‘presentable’.
Recently, i discover this baby gifts site that makes beautiful flower bouquets out of baby clothes oh i just love it love it!! I vow would try to make this flower pot at least once in my life! And guess what, the next new mom in tow is no other than the flower-wawerg* lady, Mdm Huda who’s expecting a baby girl of course!!! Perfect!! (*Sarah said ‘wawerg’ everytime she sees a flower hehe) .
Hope u like the mini baby flower bunch, Huda! :) (siapa nak order boleh order kat nuyu okeh! ok tak nuyu?!! hehe)

When i met her at the conference last week, i was just guessing the baby will popped out on 1st September, and my oh my the baby must’ve like Aunty Mye’s suggestion eh… tak sempat mummy nak finish up her work at the office she indeed was born yesterday, 1st Ramadhan 1429 @ 6.25pm! So, I’m here giving Huda&Huzaimi’s little girl her first blog debut….. welcome to world, baby Daania Inara Muhammad Huzaimi!

As usual, architecture conferences like [this one] that i attended the previous 2 days enlighten me. Not like the one i attended last month, this conference didn’t give a clear-cut inspiration on every architect’s dream project (too much dreaming iS dangerous), but it activated a continuos discussion on realities of liFe (ooh, that’s deep haha).
…..
What i learned from the previous 2 days is something that i urge all Malaysian to do as well:
—WE MUST LEARN HOW TO APPRECIATE MALAYSIA. STOP COMPLAINING. ACCEPT MALAYSIA AS IT IS. LEARN TO SURVIVE. STOP COMPLAINING— (keep on chanting at least 1000x thank you).
And a happy advance 51st Merdeka Day to you too ;)

I’m not done with TinyTapir yet ;P . While browsing through their selections of eco-bags, I found this! You know how ladies usually have a matching handbag for their shoes (vice-versa)? Now i can have matching grocery-bag (eco-friendly some more excusez-moi!) to my Tonga sling! Haha. I know it’s a crazy idea, but i would love it if i don’t have to worry all small grocery items would disappear by the time i reach the car!
By the way, those of you who’re still interested to know about the Tonga sling, i’ve wrote a review at MBW Eyes On Pouch forum. Check it out [here]. Comments/more questions are most welcomed - here or at the forum. ;)
I know u think this is not new, but it’s new to me! I likeee TinyTapir! I heArt their booth at the Parenthood Expo ‘08! Gotta check them out someday @ their place-Jalan Damai ;)
p/s: Luckily didn’t bring the stroller to the expo… Traffic jam! *jombabywearing* *jombabywearing* hahaha…
‘minum air rebusan buku’ - a quote so familiar during exam periods :P
I wanted to buy this for Sarah but her size was out of stock. And u-huh, look at the price :P

And look what i found yesterday on the way to buy Wall.E tickets.

Cuteness! And not that expensive as well. The most important thing is that it’s water resistant, unlike the BubbleGummers sandal Sarah is wearing now. Nah boleh la main air / celup kaki dlm kolam puas-puas sekarang! ;D
[UPDATED] - uwaaaaakkkk! xmuat la! moral of the story : never ever trust the size indicated. bring an ikea disposable measuring tape in your handbag and measure the sandal/shoe if you don’t have your kid with you. (a note for me: sarah’s foot is currently 14cm heel to toe). blarghhhh!!.
Elly & I (& Sarah of course) made it to the gathering!
Being myself, i was unsure whether i should do this. When I was still bf-ing Sarah, i thought bf forums are cool, not until i ransack the discussions in their forums and feel O_o, they are too ‘hardcore’ to my ‘casual’ excitement towards motherhood & babygadgets! Ahaks. Who the h*ll would own more than 2 breastpumps when you’re having only one child (so far) and only 2 boobs to pump? There are,.. my friends,.. there are. I didn’t get to know why they need so many breast pumps though. I guess my journey towards understanding more about bf stopped when I stopped bf quite some time ago. Next time la eh, insyaallah *wink*.
Yesterday, i discovered again that mom/babygadgets are indeed, collectibles.

Pretty patterns huh? They’re actually cloth innovatively designed in various styles to wear your baby! (Read [here] to understand more). Now i understand why Elly wanted to buy them all! Hehe. At the Malaysian Babywearers Forum KL gathering that i went yesterday (you surprised?!), I got the chance to experiment all sorts of baby carriers, some are familiar to me, some are prototypes! Awesome! Some of these ladies sew their stuff, which i find very economical (those brands that Gwen Stefani and Angelina Jolie wear their babies in can be pricey la hoho talking about celebrity moms!), and very practical (cooling material wise). Basically i conclude that my perception (or should i say insecurity?haha) that these ladies may be too obsessed with babywearing that i-may-not-be-able-to-handle-it was totally wrong! Babywearing anyway iS a form of baby transport! I was having fun just hopping around from one babywearer to another, each of us having instant conversation of ‘what we wear’, giggling over our ignorance of other type of babycarrier (and get to know what it was afterwards of course), and swapping baby carriers among ourselves! The experimentation part was ecstatic! ( & Sarah was such a darling not being cranky at all ;) )
Best of all, i got to know fabulous ladies from the same league.

This may be cheesy….. but babywearing rocks! ;)
